Bring a sense of romance into your home with beautiful ceramics and fragrance oils!

Welcome to the Faherty Antics Makes Scents To Me web site. My name is Rene Faherty.

For longer than I can remember, I have been involved with some type of craft medium. The challenge of creating something that evokes a response from others, and is pleasing to their eye, gives me a feeling of satisfaction that cannot be measured in mere words.

Over the years, my inventory of ceramics has increased from a few dozen pieces, to now in the hundreds. All of the items displayed at the Craft Shows and Home Shows I participate in, will not be seen on this site, due to limited space. However, if you are among those who are already familiar with my work, and you wish to inquire about the availability of a particular piece, please feel free to contact me.

Fragrance Oils For Scenting

My craft is decorative ceramics and fragrance oils for scenting.

Briefly, ceramics is the art of making objects out of clay, and giving them permanent shape by firing in a kiln. I begin with a mold. Most people are familiar with ceramics that are painted and/or glazed. These ceramics are NOT painted, as I use another process to create the look I wish to achieve. My pieces are available in white or the antique finish (which is a 14K gold wash over the white to give it that “old look"), and most are decorated with a custom parchment floral enhancement of roses.

I have chosen to share with you some of my favorite pieces on this site, in the Victorian Theme (although they have also found their way into many a Country, Country French, Modern or Contemporary home), I hope you will find them appealing.

Thank you for shopping with us!
Rene
